AN OPEN DAY at the IW Natural Therapy Centre for Animals in Ryde was held last weekend to mark National Pet Week.

Pet owners were able to find out how to improve the health of their animals with demonstrations and advice on veterinary hydrotherapy, chiropractic, massage and homeopathy.

The IW Dog Training Society put on displays of its Good Citizen training, programme and agility training with Wight Wizards teaching flyball skills.

Modern hi-tech veterinary methods were displayed and a specialist vet gave a talk about the controversial raw meaty bones diet.

A total of £73 was raised for the International League for the Protection of Horses and National Pet Week charities.
