She is a baby in a farmer’s herd in the West Wight. She was unable to get up if she lay on her side to sunbathe or sleep. When she tried, she would wave her free rear leg about in the air. She should
have been pushing that leg under her stomach to help lever herself up.
Pain-killers had been tried to encourage her to try to put more effort into using that leg. But no improvement had been seen, which
means that she couldn't use it (rather than wouldn’t). So Vav was called out.
However, they do have a mammalian skeleton quite like sheep and camels, so her Peruvian origins did not complicate the chiropractic treatment.
The improvement was immediate - Heidi was able to stand unaided and
walked the length of the barn. Two weeks later, she needed very little work and ran with the herd.
Heidi is now the star of the magazine BACKCHAT, the
official publication of the Chiropractic Patients Association.
